Identity
Features and characters of the individual
This giant grows right next to the playground of Parmentier Park. He protects children, participates in their adventures as "Indians and cowboys". Hence its nickname, "Cherokee", in homage to the Indians of its native land (Sierra Nevada).
This giant redwood, a tree that is part of the Brussels living heritage, has been noticed by our friends from the French association A.R.B.R.R.E.S. Links are being forged between our projects, between the trees of France and the trees of here. Every month we match a favorite tree: you can discover them by "leafing through" the portraits.
This tree is part of the Scientific Inventory of Remarkable Trees in the Brussels Region: http://arbres-inventaire.irisnet.be/arbre/Woluwe-Saint-Pierre_Parc_Parmentier/2693/12/12/
