Features and characters of the individual
This is a tree from southern France that thrives in Parc de Forest, close to the cafe. It’s not surprising that it acclimatises so well. Because French/Montpellier maple trees like to grow in vineyard areas and enjoy the sandy soils of cafe terraces or a boules/pétanques terrain. In springtime, its flowers give the tree a greenish-yellow colour and in autumn its foliage is more of a red colour. Definitely make the most of this! This small-sized tree has a big thirst for light, but its neighbours towering above are starting to cover it with a little shade.
