Loin de la place centrale qui lui est généralement réservée, ce marronnier se trouve rejeté hors de la place, sur un des trottoirs qui la borde. Malgré cela, il attire le regard du passant, dans ce quartier où l'on ne voit que des arbres de petite taille.
