This tree is coming to maturity. It has spread and filled out over time, and now its crown is well branched. Its branches are beginning to hang, which makes it look more like a mature hornbeam. Indeed, its earlier branches were straighter, and its crown was ovoid in shape, slightly pulled upwards by the sky. Its leaves and clusters of winged fruits are close enough to be seen from below.
