Features and characters of the individual
This is the largest field maple in the area. It’s slowly growing at the crossroads of three footpaths. Its structure and form draw the eye upwards, along its gnarled branches that start quite low and then soar up into the sky. In autumn, its foliage turns a deep yellow colour and catches your attention.
