Features and characters of the individual
In Parc Walckiers, this tree grows freely and understatedly through the railings of the Institut de la Sainte Famille d’Helmet. The top brushes with the roofs of a 19th century château and a neo-Gothic chapel. A large number of schoolchildren pass under its branches. Do they take notice of this tree, or of the other two sycamore maples that hide in the various plots in the park? It’s not always easy for this species to attract attention, as it’s so commonplace!
