Features and characters of the individual

This chestnut tree is one of the remarkable specimens of the Region. To realise this, you have to come and see it in autumn when its fiery foliage and impressive branches distinguish it from the other trees around him in the wooded area. They have spread out over several metres above the lawn in search of light. It looks as if they are coming out of the woods, armed with leaves in the shape of dentate spears, straight out of the forge. In front of this giant, one can understand why the Celts would seek strength and courage at the foot of the chestnut trees. For them, this tree was covered with spear armour: it symbolised the invincible warrior.
